A stone throw from where we were staying, at Camping La Bella Vista, there was a stretch of pathway that had the most beautiful seats all in a row. I am not sure who made these mosaics (Google is yielding very little when it comes to this) or when they were made or anything like that.
I walked forward and back past these mosaics many times during my stay at Duquesa – either on the way to the marina or to the neighbouring town or just when out and about with the dogs. They cheer up the town no end. Some of them were just pattern and colour but there was one that I more particularly loved.
My favourite mosaic was one of the chairs situated along the walkway to the marina and it was located directly in front of the Castillo de la Duquesa. If you stood in front of the chair then the depiction of the castle behind was very clear, as was the depiction of all of Duquesa all laid out across the chair.
There were several of these mosaics depicting Spanish scenes
In addition to some of these very colourful, Spanish mosaics, there was a mosaic outside the childrens’ park with cartoon characters on it, including my favourite – SpongeBob Squarepants! Does anyone else love SpongeBob?
