Happy Easter! 🌷🐰☀️🍫🌼🐥
What came first? The bunny or the egg? Am still mystified as to why the bunny (or bell in France – weirder) rather than a creature that actually lays eggs.
This morning the Easter rabbit came to visit our house, bringing a giant kinder egg. Iris smelt the chocolate and played with the kinder toy (which doesn’t have small parts, phew).
We went to the farm to see both chicks and rabbits (and puppies and kittens, which mystified me but have to trust that they know what they’re at).
We went to Warner’s Ranch in Welland, where they breed Belgian Drafts. Iris held her own Easter bucket and had an Easter egg hunt in the stables. She got to see the big stallion and the mares and two foals but didn’t really seem to notice they were living creatures.
What she did notice, though, were the animals in the petting farm – the baby llama was pretty cute. But what do they do with all of the babies?? Things like this worry me. I can see that they breed the drafts for a purpose but the other creatures?
Luke is out in the garden mowing the lawn and I am thanking the World for delivering Iris safely through her fourth wonderleap and into the practice of taking naps and sleeping through the night once more ❤️
Hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter?
